Founded in May 2010 in Jinan, China, Shunmao specializes in the research, development, manufacture and sale of friction and wear testing machines. We support industrial laboratories, universities, research institutes and enterprise testing centers.
Our core technical team brings together experienced members of the former Tribology Testing Technology Research Institute at Jinan Testing Machine Factory. Their longstanding work in testing technology and instrument development forms the foundation of our company.

Chen Zhaobao · Founder & Senior Engineer
Our founder, Chen Zhaobao, formerly led the Tribology Testing Technology Research Institute at the state-owned Jinan Testing Machine Factory. His friction and wear instrument research has received scientific and technological progress awards at national, provincial and industry levels.
His work on a tapping-torque simulation and evaluation instrument for metalworking fluids received a National Science and Technology Progress Award. He also helped establish, and served on, the Testing Technology Professional Committee of the Tribology Branch of the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society.

Our team has participated in developing test standards and sharing specialist knowledge with the tribology community.
Team members also contributed to Four-Ball Testers and Their Applications (《四球机及其应用》), published by China Petrochemical Press in 2016.

OUR INSTRUMENTS

laboratory testing.
Since its establishment, Shunmao has developed more than 30 instrument models. Our range includes four-ball testers, Timken and block-on-ring testers, FZG gear test rigs and KRL shear-stability equipment.
We also develop instruments for pin-on-disc, PV, rolling contact fatigue and high-frequency reciprocating wear testing, with configurations tailored to specific materials and test requirements.
In support of the development of NB/SH/T 0845, Shunmao developed a KRL tapered-roller-bearing lubricant viscosity shear-stability tester for Sinopec’s Beijing Research Institute of Lubricants. This equipment has been used by customers in China and Europe.
